Third Day of Yoga Retreat
I guess it’s time to post about this. It’s about time, since I finished over five hours ago.
But that’s a different story.
I won’t go into the details of what practices I did, since it’s basically the same. I’ll just give the highlights.
Meditation was better. Finally. Though still tough, I can see where it’s going. Let’s hope it goes there.
Asana practice still felt rushed, even though I skipped a lot. I think tomorrow I’m going to skip even more of the beginning poses. I do them so often, it’s just not fair to the later poses. I’ll skip judiciously and focus more attention on the new poses.
Now, a bit about how I’m feeling.
I sleep a little bit more. About 10 hours. That is probably due to my extra activity.
But I feel great. The benefits of meditation is apparent off the cushion. I am slightly more comfortable bringing up personal matters. I also do things that surprise me. They’re a surprise because I normally rely on habits. I often find myself being very mindful in the middle of an activity. Doing yoga immediately after meditation is especially aware. Every muscles sings out as in a symphony. I like it.
What I’ve been thinking for after this week is just doing it a couple more times per week outside of class. It wouldn’t take much time, but I think I’d benefit a lot.
See you tomorrow.
